Born in 1968, in Austria
Career
1992 – 2002 Assistent at the Institute for Psychology at the University of Vienna, Department of Methodology and Differential Psychology.
Scientific research and programming for psychological test theory, especially Item Response Theory (Rasch models)
Extensive teaching of psychological methodology and statistics, supervision of master’s theses
2002 to 2005: Head of unit Social and Educational Statistics at Statistics Austria (Directorate Population)
2006 to 2007 Head of unit Science, Technology, and Education (Directorate Population) at Statistics Austria
Since fall 2007 Associate Professor in Applied Statistics at MODUL University Vienna
2005 Member of the international Technical Review Panel for the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA)
2006 Member of the scientific advisory board of the Zentrum für Vergleichende Bildungsforschung (which is responsible for the PISA study in Austria)
