MODUL University Vienna is an internationally oriented organization for research and education in tourism, new media technology and public governance. It was established by the Vienna Economic Chamber of Commerce and Industries and approved by the Austrian Accreditation Council in 2007. [more]
MODUL University Vienna comprises research and educational activities that span a wide range of both traditional and new academic disciplines. In addition to its multidisciplinary emphasis, the educational programs at MODUL University Vienna combine professional skill development and personal development. As such it is at the crossroads of focusing on methodological/problem-solving abilities on the one hand, with social and inter-personal learning processes on the other. The basis for these fundamental educational goals were developed within the framework of a workshop with more than 15 leading universities in Europe, North American and Australia (www.tourismeducation.at). The fundamental values of education and goals of MODUL University Vienna are as follows:

A large part of MU Vienna’s activities in education, research and practical training take place within its departments. In addition, there are comprehensive, theme-oriented educational and research activities, which are offered through interdisciplinary studies and research projects. Thus, it is possible for MODUL University Vienna to be flexible and react to new scientific developments based upon societal necessities, changes within the market and economy, and educational demands.
