Oscar Pacheco Martinez joins the Student Service Center

MODUL University is pleased to welcome Oscar Pacheco Martinez to the Student Service Center to assist students in their transition to MU and throughout their studies.

Adding to the international community at MU, Oscar comes from Costa Rica and speaks fluent English and German as well as his native Spanish. He moved to Vienna with his family at the age of 15, where he finished high school and subsequently achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Webster University Vienna in 2012.

Oscar has a variety of experience with administration at international organizations, starting with an internship at the Costa Rican Embassy in Vienna in 2010. Following his studies Oscar, was a Programme Management Intern at the Technical Cooperation department in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and at the Financial Service Branch of the Programme Support and General Management Division at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) before coming to MU.

At MU he and the SSC team are responsible for organizing Orientation Week where the new Modulians get to know each other and MU through a week of presentations and activities, as well as excursions, sports and charity events. They offer all essential services including documents needed by Austrian authorities like transcripts, confirmation of studies/enrollment, information about Academic Exchanges, and help with visas/residence permits, accommodation, student health insurance and “settling-in” essentials.

When not helping students, Oscar pursues a variety of interests including football, playing guitar, traveling and learning about new cultures.
