Student Life at MU

Community building is the key to the rich student life at MODUL University Vienna. Our diverse student body of approximately 700 students from 70 different countries not only learns together at MU but also learns from one another - both in and out of the classroom. The Student Life Fair, a biannual event organized by the Student Service Center, highlights the numerous extracurricular opportunities at MU. At the Student Life Fair, both newly matriculated students as well as current students are encouraged to explore the many student clubs, initiatives, and exchange opportunities at MU which grow in number every year.

Our most recent Student Life Fair featured some of our favorite clubs as well as some brand new ones! Julian Ritt, a third-year student in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations program, introduced two new clubs based on his own personal interests. Julian is the leader of the first MU martial arts club as well as a food sharing club that brings students together in different kitchens across Vienna to cook and eat together. Mahmoud Shalaby, a current Bachelor of Science in International Management student in his final year at MU, also introduced a photography club to the delight of his fellow students. Rounding out the assortment of new clubs was the addition of an MU newspaper which is expected to take off in 2017.

The Student Life Fair also featured a number of external partners who help to contribute to the vibrant, multicultural student life at MU. Our friends at FeelsLikeHome, an organization providing relocation services for international students in Vienna, offered their expertise and encouraged students to join them for mixed events with the wider international student community in Vienna. Additionally, Holmes Place, a network of luxury health clubs and spas in Vienna and beyond, was on site to offer MU students an exclusive student membership package. Finally, our favorite yoga instructor, Selma Kornmüller of Happy Glow Yoga, was at MU to represent the MU Yoga Club as well as yoga instruction in Vienna (also in English!) at a special rate just for MU students.

Whether it is a student club activity or an external event organized by your SSC or ÖH MODUL , MU is a busy place and we hope that you will join in on the fun and help to enrich your life and your student community. If you’d like to join a student club at MU, please view our list of current student clubs at MU and contact your club president for more information. If you’d like to start your own club at MU, please be sure to fill out our new club registration form and bring it to your SSC for approval. We hope to see you at one of our many student club events!
