Prof. Lund-Durlacher joins Executive Committee of the BEST Education Network

During the BEST EN Think Tank held in Izmir in late June 2008,
Dagmar Lund-Durlacher - Dean of the BBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management - accepted the invitation to join the Executive Committee of the BEST Education Network.

The BEST Education Network is an international consortium of educators committed to furthering the development and dissemination of knowledge in the field of sustainable tourism. This is achieved by addressing topics of sustainability and by developing a research agenda and curriculum modules for use in undergraduate education are developed. The curriculum modules are designed for use in education around the world and can be downloaded free of charge on the BEST EN website (www.besteducationnetwork.org/modules.php).

New aspirations for BEST EN include the completion of new online modules, a wiki on sustainable tourism, collaboration with UNWTO on a new Quality of Life project, and the Tourism Education Futures Initiative (TEFI) that is now housed by BEST EN. Current members of the Executive Committee are:
