Theme parks are at the core of the next seminar about the Latest Trends and Innovations in Tourism hosted by MODUL University Vienna.

The 5th appointment with MODUL University Vienna seminars deals with the environment surrounding the University itself: the Wienerwald!
Our guest speaker, Mr. Christian Diry, will introduce the concept of biosphere reserves in describing the origin and the development of the requirements for this UNESCO predicate. He will use the Biosphere Wienerwald’s projects as vivid example.
The seminar will take place on May 15, 2009 from 2.45 p.m .

In 1985, Athens was the first official European City of Culture; since then at least one European City has been nominated as a European Cities of Culture, pursuing the goal of strengthening the integration among European countries.

In the past, the European Cities of Culture have been more or less successful: Graz is said to be one of the very successful examples of a Cultural Capital. In 2003 the positive image grew and tourism boomed.
