A study on travelers' booking behavior

Marketing Research Project on Booking Behavior

BBA Students and LecturersBBA Students and Lecturers On January 26, 2009, a group of MODUL University Vienna students presented the key findings of a survey on Travelers' Booking Behavior.

The study was conducted as part of the undergraduate education program in Tourism and Hospitality Management and with the support of amadeus, the leading company for IT solutions for the travel and tourism industry.

The aim of the study was two-fold:
1. identify the main drivers for using a specific booking channel, among the the travel agency and online booking platforms;
2. profile travelers' lifestyle at home and on holiday.

The results of the quantitative survey draw a clear picture of travel styles and shed light on travelers' preferences for booking channels. The students of the Bachelor Program in Business Administration also formulated operational suggestions for the industry partner.
