This issue covers a variety of areas from a report on MU students’ preferences about potential Master degrees in tourism and hospitality, to 9 predictions in the area of sustainable travel. I. Does sustainability matter?

Halting climate change and conserving our natural world depends on us all making sure we live a more environmentally sensitive life and significantly changing the way we do business. Education plays a big role in our response to these issues. 91 Students from MODUL University Vienna
participated in a survey about prospective consecutive Master courses in tourism and hospitality at MUV. Despite the urgent issues that the tourism industry is confronted with, the results show that overall traditional management degrees are preferred to those with a sustainable development focus.

To the question “which of the following degree titles would you find most attractive?”, respondents by far favored Hospitality Management (81%) and Tourism Management (80%), followed by Tourism and Sustainable Development (61%), (see chart below).

III. Tips about what you can do to save the environment

Everybody needs to buy home products and yes, it is possible to buy a wide range of products that will not damage our natural world! BUYING IS VOTING !
