Hospitality and Sustainability

The second appointment with the MU Vienna's seminars about the Latest Trends and Innovations in Tourism dealt with the topic "sustainability".
Our guest speaker, Mr Weiß, is the director of two innovative and successful hotels situated in Austria.

The SteinschalerHof and SteinschalerDörfl, Mr Weiß' hotels, don‘t belong to the bland „plastic hotels„ category. In their parking lots, flowers and nature entwine, and their buildings are permeated by an old essence. They were nominated for the Staatspreis Tourismus in 2007, and the area where they are located (the Pielachtal) was the Austrian winner of the European Destinations of Excellence Awards in 2007

Mr Weiß, the director, presented the innovative business concept of these hotels at MODUL University Vienna.
