Counselor of Chinese embassy Mr.Tao Bailiang, Prof. Lund-Durlacher, Vice-Director Mr. Chen Yu, Leader of the delegationMODUL University Vienna served as a platform for introducing Vienna as an attractive business location as well as presenting the excellent tourism and hospitality training centers, MODUL School and MODUL University Vienna, to a delegation from Chongqing, China. This event was organized by the Wiener Wirtschaftsförderungsfond and hosted by MODUL University.
Dr. Sepp Rieder, retired deputy mayor, and delegate from the city of Vienna and Ms. Jennifer Zhang, Wiener Wirtschaftsförderunsgfonds, introduced Vienna as an attractive business location to the Chinese delegates.

Celebrating its first anniversary of being accredited as a private university by the Austrian Accreditation Council, MODUL University Vienna has established a new channel of communication between science and industry. The 22 interdisciplinary faculty members of MU Vienna will present their latest research findings via four dedicated research blogs. The aim is to establish and advance the knowledge transfer between research and industry practice in the areas of new media, public governance, tourism and sustainability.

The private MODUL University Vienna expands its range of study programs with immediate effect on the field of Public Governance. As the dean of this trend-setting study program, the university managed to bring in the internationally renowned researcher Harvey Goldstein from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. "Harvey Goldstein is our first cast for the leadership of the new and unique Department for Public Governance", states MODUL University Vienna's President Karl Wöber.

Google Online Marketing Challenge. The global online marketing (AdWords) competition saw more than 1600 student teams from 47 countries around the world. MU-Vienna’s second semester bachelor of tourism and hospitality management students even competed with scholars of post graduate programs in diverse fields.
