1st International Day @ MU

On Thursday the 27th of May, students of MODUL University Vienna celebrated the 1st International Day @ MU, together with around 150 business partners, faculty & staff members as well as representatives of Vienna-based Embassies. The generated proceeds of the event's food & drinks sales were donated towards the reconstruction of Haiiti.

The event was organized as Opening Day where students from all our study programs, originating from different countries all over the world, gave an insight into their cultural background, traditional national costumes and dishes. Guests were able to experience the cultural diversity of more than 20 countries.

The generated proceeds of the event's food & drinks sales were donated towards the reconstruction of Haiiti. In total EUR 661,- were generated, which were handed over via check by Sandra Staniek, Bachelor student & Event Organizer to her excellency, Consul Yolande Dreihann-Holenia of the Republic of Haiti. Consul Dreihann-Holenia announced afterwards that she would add another EUR 339,- in order to provide in total EUR 1.000 towards the reconstruction of Haiiti.

Apart from the charity aspect, also the best booths were awarded: Students from Lebonan won the 1st price, followed by Egypt on the 2nd and Brazil on the 3rd place.
