New Media Business Plans and Intellectual Property Rights

This course provides an understanding and a basis to create, structure and protect values within New Media Business Models. By the time the student has successfully finished this course, he/she is able to define what new and old media actually means, to assess the commercial and legal consequences of the use of different forms of new media – also in an international context - and to successfully negotiate contracts with regard this topic. Furthermore, students learn a structured approach to transform ideas into a business plan for Venture Capital orientated financing decisions.

Wolfgang Pfarl is Group Purchasing Manager at the Mobilkom Austria Group. He completed his dissertation in law and teaches at several universities of Applied Sciences.
Christoph Haimberger is Associate Partner at Global Equity Partners Beteiligungs-Management AG, Vienna. He completed his doctoral degree in Business Administration in the area of Investor Relations.
