University Preparatory Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

MODUL University Vienna and the Tourism College MODUL offer a preparatory course to potential students in order to prepare them to enter the Bachelor in Business Administration in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Students will have achieved the level of proficiency in mathematics and intermediate English (Bachelor English proficiency: IELTS: 5.5-6.5; TOEFL IBT: 87-109; Cambridge exam: FCE) according to the university´s regulations by the end of the preparatory year. In addition to Mathematics & Statistics and English, the preparatory program includes Basic German, European Culture and Introduction to IT, as well as Food & Beverage Training. Students will receive theoretical education and practical training, and will also be supported with getting settled in Vienna, and adapting to life in Austria and its culture. All courses are conducted at MODUL College. This program is the perfect way to begin your studies at MODUL University Vienna!

COURSE FACTS

Duration: Full time, 1 year (2 semesters), starting October 2012

Language: English is the study language

Tuition Fee: €10,500 

Included: public transport ticket, medical insurance, lunch from Monday to Friday and reading material

Excluded: housing in student dorm (250 EUR per month)

Visa Acceptance to the preparatory course enables participants to obtain a student visa

ADMISSION CRITERIA

Qualification to enter university (e.g. Matura, Abitur, A-levels, International Baccalaureate)

English proficiency: Pre-intermediate (IELTS: 4.0-5.0; TOEFL IBT: 57-86; Cambridge exam: PET)
