Participation conditions for Facebook Raffle „Study Business Class“

Persons must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible. In case of conflicting applicable laws regarding eligibility or age limits for participation in online contests, the respective national laws apply. A precondition for participating in the contest is that eligible participants are fans of the contest site. Participation is not dependent on product purchase or use of a service from MODUL University Vienna.

[6]On July 30th, 2010, MODUL University Vienna celebrated its first BBA graduation. Forty-five students who started studying in 2007 when MODUL
University was opened, graduated from the three year Bachelor Program in
Tourism and Hospitality Management. Wearing traditional gowns and caps, graduates were excited to receive the diploma from KommR Brigitte Jank, president of the Vienna Economic Chamber.

[8]Recently, MODUL University Vienna has successfully been accredited by the Turkish YÖK [9] which is the responsible institution of the Turkish Ministry of Education, similar to the Austrian Accreditation Council [10].

[12] On Thursday the 27th of May, students of MODUL University Vienna celebrated the 1st International Day @ MU, together with around 150 business partners, faculty & staff members as well as representatives of Vienna-based Embassies. The generated proceeds of the event's food & drinks sales were donated towards the reconstruction of Haiiti.

[14]While some are discussing the need for new education offensives others are becoming active, particularly when it concerns such strong business partnerships as ERSTE Group and MODUL University Vienna. ERSTE Group will finance a total of 20 scholarships for employees of international partner companies. This week Rupert Dollinger, ERSTE Group’s HR Group Head, accepted the university’s official “Gold Sponsor” plaque, handed over by Alexander Bari (Business Development, MODUL University Vienna).

[16]The well-known Austrian INDUSTRIE MAGAZIN has published his annual ranking of the leading MBA programs in Austria and for the first time MODUL University Vienna is part of that list. The evaluation aimed to investigate the image of 250 postgraduate degrees offered by Austrian institutions. MODUL University Vienna was ranked best Austrian Private University and overall 11th institution, directly after the Public University of Vienna.

Mr. Fritz (ÖW), Prof. Wöber (MU)Madrid (May 27, 2009). The tourism marketing information system TourMIS (www.tourmis.info [18]) has been awarded this year’s Jury Prize for Innovation in Tourism Enterprises by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Ulysses Committee. The award ceremony took place during the international Ulysses Conference 2009 in Madrid, where Professor Karl Wöber, MODUL University Vienna, and Mr. Werner Fritz, Austrian National Tourist Office, received the prize.

MODUL University Vienna was awarded the ERASMUS University Charter thus enabling the University to participate in the European exchange program. ERASMUS offers students the possibility of studying at other European universities. No university fees abroad have to be paid and additional grants might be available . Furthermore, student placements and teacher mobility can be conducted.

Last Tuesday, the 21st of April, MODUL University Vienna awarded its first 6 graduates with a postgraduate degree. KR Brigitte Jank, President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industries, was present herself and took care of awarding Austria's first Alumni with a joint degree of a public and private University.

The Professional MBA program in Tourism Management has been developed in cooperation with the Executive Academy of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU), one of Europe’s leading business schools. This joint venture guarantees that academic studies are pursued at the highest level while maintaining business relevance.
