KDIR [6] is one of three conferences held simultaneously under the umbrella of the IC3K [7], located in Valencia, Spain. This joint conference strongly supports the communication of scientists of different research areas. The opening keynote was held by Rudi Studer, summarizing current approaches in the Semantic Web area.

The European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI [11]), one of the most influential conferences in the area of Artificial Intelligence, attracts researchers from many areas such as Robotics, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. The biannual conference is a forum for the discussion and presentation of a wide range of applications from ontology engineering to dancing robots and even work on the famous game "Go".

Sentiment Detection is one of the research fields of the RAVEN [21] project. It is a sub area of text mining and attempts to automatically extract the mood or sentiment expressed by an author of a written text. Armed with such means, it is easy for potential users - private enterprises, for example - to track the sentiment of the online community towards their brands and, if necessary, to adapt their marketing strategies.
