Alongside other top tourism experts, MU Prof. Dagmar Lund-Durlacher spoke at the 21st Naturefriends Environmental Conference in Graz on September 30th. The conference addressed how increasing climate change in the alpine region affects tourism to these areas, and how winter-sport enthusiasts and tourism providers alike will have to adapt to new circumstances.

Under sunny spring skies, MODUL University Vienna hosted the second annual Sustainovation conference from June 3rd-5th, geared at pushing the boundaries of sustainability and innovation. The theme of ''Sustainability as a Motor for Innovation'' was a perfect fit for MU, as our philosophy embraces the need for environmental consciousness and sustainable technologies.

MU at BEST EN Think Tank XI in Philadelphia

From the 21st to the 24th of May, the BEST Education Network held its eleventh annual Think Tank entitled ‘Learning for Sustainable Tourism’ at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA. Dr. Dagmar Lund-Durlacher, chair of the BEST EN network, and Tina Rønhovde Tiller, BEST EN secretary and researcher and lecturer at MU, have been busy planning the conference the past six months, since BEST EN officially moved house to MU at last year’s Think Tank in Vienna.

MODUL University Vienna already boasts an incredibly diverse student body with faculty and staff from all over the world, and our students now have the opportunity to participate in TEFI (Tourism Education Futures Initiative) online courses conducted in partnership with universities in Brazil, the United States, Switzerland, New Zealand and Denmark.
