The BBA program in Tourism and Hospitality Management is designed for students from all over the world who want to lay a solid foundation of their career in the tourism and leisure industry. The curriculum develops the students’ academic, professional and personal skills. The spirit of enterprise and effective service delivery are cornerstones of this program.

The three-year BBA program is unique in its kind as it perfectly combines sound academic with business-related training, for only a mind rooted in a real world can solve the current and future problems of the industry. Besides conveying a sense of service delivery and hospitality, this BBA course aims at preparing students to take up leading positions in the tourism and leisure industry worldwide as well as to run their own businesses profitably.

Our faculty includes a leading Austrian and international academic staff and experts from the industry. Lectures and seminars delivered by scientists and professionals from abroad form an integral part of the curriculum. A special course on current trends in the industry keeps our students on track of recent developments of the industry. The variety of nationalities among faculty and students is a fascinating platform of intercultural life and experiences. Students are to gain all the skills necessary to deal professionally with foreign guests and business partners. The qualifications obtained by this intensive exposure to the industry will distinguish MU Vienna students from others.

The modules 'Operations' and 'Communication', as well as many others, focus on practical training and the simulation of real-life situations. It goes without saying that these courses will only be held in small groups. It is one principle of MODUL University Vienna to create a familiar atmosphere and to guarantee academic discourse by keeping the number of students per group to a minimum. The mentoring system developed by the MODUL team means that companies in the Austrian and international hospitality and tourism industry take over patronage of particular groups of students, organizing site visits and discussions, delivering lectures on special topics, offering special case studies and topics for Bachelor theses and providing places for internships and permanent positions after graduation. Career counseling is provided for all students and individual guidance and coaching by a licensed coach can be organized on request.
