MBA Program in Tourism Management

  • Academic Director: Prof. Dr. Karl Wöber
  • Joint program with the Executive Academy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business
  • Target Group: Professionals working in the tourism and leisure industry with an undergraduate degree and 3 years' work experience
  • Degree: Master of Business Administration (MBA in Tourism Management)
  • Program Start: rolling intake from October until February
  • Duration of Studies: Regular: 18 months, Extended: 24 months, (courses are blocked)
  • The curriculum consists of Business Fundamentals (Common Body of Knowledge) and specialization courses in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • Additional qualifications: Graduates of the MBA in Tourism Management program are entitled to establish and operate a business in the hotel and restaurant industry. Graduates are also entitled to establish and operate a travel agency if they have at least one year of work experience in the tourism industry after graduation.
  • Faculty: Professors from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and other national and international universities as well as distinguished experts from the tourism and leisure industry
  • Language of Instruction: English
  • Tuition Fee: € 28,000 Travel expenses and accommodation are not included in the tuition fee. The tuition fee is exempt from VAT according to §6 paragraph 12 Austrian Value Added Tax Law. If the student pays the first instalment before 31st May, then a reduction of EUR 1,000.00 will be granted for the total study fee for the program.
