International Management

Business meets Technology

Have a look at the research projects MU is either leading or participating in. Members of the School for International Management are publishing on a regular basis.

In this project we investigate the implications of Blockchain technology on various fields, including Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, and Tourism. We also investigate antecedents and drivers of ongoing changes and use economic and managerial theory to explain, explore and predict current and future developments.

Cryptoeconomics is defined as a field that investigates protocols which govern the production, distribution and consumption of digital goods and services in a decentralized digital economy. It consists of cryptography to prove properties of transactions and economic incentives to create a system that enables an "Internet of value". We investigate how cryptoeconomics shapes the way in which our economies work and how incentives for individuals are provided to make them participate in this new economy.

Gamification, the application of game elements in non-game contexts, has recently gained a great deal of attention in various research communities. It has shown promising potential to increase individuals’ motivation and positively impact their attitude and behavior. We develop gamification theory, investigate the impact of gamification on individuals and work on empirical research projects in which gamification measures are designed and evaluated.
