We're offering two full Master of Business Administration scholarships worth €25,000 each for our MBA program.

We're offering one full scholarship for the MBA with a major in Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation for female founders and innovators, and the other is open to all applicants with the option to major in any field of specialisation.

We are also offering 10 partial scholarships worth €13,000 each for the Master of Business Administration programs.

Students can opt for a general MBA or specialise in one of the following fields:

Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation

New Media and Information Management

Public Governance and Sustainable Development

Real Estate and Hotel Development

Tourism and Hotel Development


Admission criteria

  • Proof of a Bachelor university degree or equivalent with a minimum duration of three years
  • A minimum of three years professional experience (not including internships)
  • Proof of English proficiency for non-native speakers: at least two years of education in English, C1 level on an internationally recognized language test (i.e. IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 88 Internet-Based Test, Cambridge Certificate CAE or BEC (Grade A)), or satisfying the Admissions Committee in a form deemed appropriate by the Committee.

Program start: 19th of October, 2018 (both for full and for partial scholarship winners)

Application deadline: 7th of September, 2018

Notification of scholarship recipients: 15th of September

Who can write my letters of recommendation?

Please provide two letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources (e.g. current or previous employers, bachelor thesis supervisor, etc).

Can I compensate my remaining tuition fee by working for MODUL University Vienna?

Sorry, this is not possible.

How is the program structured?

Blocked courses take place once a month on 2-4 consecutive weekdays and weekends. Courses involve two days of interactive seminars. Please visit the course overview for more information.

Can I switch the scholarship from a Master of Business Administration (MBA) to a Master of Science (MSc)?

Sorry, this scholarship is only applicable to the MBA program.

If I win a scholarship, do I have to start the program on the 19th of October, 2018?

All winners for this scholarship call must begin their studies in October 2018.

Can I get a tax reduction for studying an MBA?

Possibly. If you pay taxes in Austria, you may be able to claim an educational tax credit. Please visit educational tax credit for graduate studies or the Austrian Finanzamt for more information.

If I win a partial scholarship, do I have to pay the remaining fees all at once?

No. You can pay in four equal installments.

How can I apply for the scholarship?

Can I apply for the scholarship even if I do not yet have an English language test?

Yes, you can. You can submit your proof of English proficiency at the latest before the study start. Required is a C1 level on an internationally recognized language test (i.e. IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 88 Internet-Based Test, Cambridge Certificate CAE).

Alternatively, you can sit the MODUL University Admissions English Entrance Exam. If you have already studied in English for at least two years or if English has been your working language for several years, the test may be waived on an individual basis.
