Austrian National Union of Students elections at MU
June 07, 2017
University students across Austria went to the polls on May 16 – 18, 2017 to elect their respective representatives in the Austrian National Union of Students (Österreichische Hochschülerinnen- und Hochschülerschaft, ÖH).
The ÖH is the general student representative body in Austria which effectively serves as a statewide student government with varying levels of representation. It is a self-administered and financially independent legal entity that offers students political and academic representation, information, and service.
In addition to the national board of the ÖH (Bundesvertretung) which serves a political function, students also voted for university representatives (Universitätsvertretung) to advocate for general student interests as well as degree program representatives (Studienvertretung) to address student concerns directly related to study program administration and organization.
The ÖH university elections, which take place every two years, were successfully administered for the second time at MODUL University Vienna since compulsory membership to the Austrian National Union of Students was extended to include all private universities in Austria in 2014. We are proud to announce the results of the 2017 ÖH elections at MODUL University Vienna:
MODUL NEEDS U: 64,44% (3 seats in representation)
MODUL First: 35,56% (2 seats in representation)

We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome the incoming ÖH MODUL. We look forward to working together with you to enhance the student experience at MODUL University Vienna where student satisfaction is of utmost importance!
