Modulians Present Brand Award 2019

For the fourth year in a row students from Modul University Vienna were present at the International Hotel Investment and Design Conference, hosted by the Hotel Sacher School of Excellence, to present the Modul Brand Award 2019.

The winners of this year's 'Next Generation Brand Award' were Sacher, Six Senses and Park Hyatt.

The Modul Brand Award was established in 2016 to distinguish the most innovative hotel operations focusing on the industries fastest growing group of consumers: Millennials.

"This group wields increasing power and economic influence in all corners of the business world, and the global hospitality industry is no exception" says the IHIDC website. "As a group, Millennials and their buying power have become a fascinating challenge."

The leading question for the 2019 project was related to the travel habits and the requirements for the perfect luxury stay for this generation: What is the most attractive luxury hotel brand for Millennials?

Student representatives of MU Vienna presenting the award were: Yannick Herzberg (MSc in Management), Maximilian Künstner (MSc in International Tourism Management), Lisa Unterganschnigg (MSc in Management with a specialisation in Real Estate Management), Jennifer Yanyu Hu (BBA in Tourism, Hotel Management and Operations), Marlies Hiromi Wimmer (BBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management).

The students were met by a few familiar faces in Modul University Vienna's previous Head of Modul Career and current Director of the Sacher School of Excellence, Hani El Sharkawi as well as MU's outgoing Dean of the Undergraduate School, Dr. Florian Aubke.
