MU Startup Hub successfully launches the second batch of FAB Accelerator

The second batch of FAB Accelerator kicked off last week. Five MU Startup Hub teams presented their projects.

Over the next 6 months (January 7th, 2020 – June 18th, 2020) the teams will work closely with professionals from MODUL University Vienna,METRO Cash & Carry, and HERD open kitchen in an attempt to make a lasting impact in the food and beverage industry. The teams will gain knowledge in business fundamentals, professional product development, and the winner will get listings in wholesale markets by METRO Cash&Carry Austria.

MU Startup Hub acts as a home to selected startups in the food and beverage, hospitality and service industries. By working in collaboration with expert industry partners, MU Startup Hub is able to boost ideas and products to a proof-of-concept stage.

METRO Cash & Carry, as the global market leader in self-service wholesale, is arguably the strongest partner when it comes to Food & Beverage related innovation. A global network of 750 wholesale stores strengthens METRO’s market share and adds to the unique proposal within the FAB accelerator.

HERD is an innovative provider of professional, fully furbished kitchens paired with a co-working concept.

After Rebel Meat winning the first FAB Accelerator batch and now well on the way of conquering the B2B market, we are looking forward to the second batch of gastronomy and food entrepreneurs to develop the next big thing for the F&B market.
