My Internship at the Kempinski Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi

Bachelor student Anastasiia Mykhailyk recently completed her internship at the Kempinski Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, a 5 star luxury hotel boasting 394 rooms and suites, 1.3 km of beach, and a private marina. She shares her experience at this grandiose hotel perched on the white sands of the Arabian Gulf.

''I had a great opportunity to represent Modul University during my internship at Kempinski Emirates Palace. Throughout the training I developed my personal as well as professional skills in various areas of the hotel such as the business center, bell desk, concierge, kitchen, reception and with the butlers and the Lady in Red, the Kempinski Brand Ambassador. The training plan was structured in a way that we trainees changed working positions almost every month, except for reception. This was a great chance to learn more about hotel operations and apply the knowledge I’ve learned at Modul.

The six months of internship were incredible, and I am thankful to the Emirates Palace team for all the support, and to the many great people from different backgrounds who gave me valuable knowledge and made unforgettable memories. I also learned much about Arabic culture and the UAE in particular. It’s a country with strong development of the hospitality industry — a country where everything is possible!

Altogether I was very much satisfied with my internship, and I have to say that if you are looking for a bridge to a successful path in the hospitality industry, Emirates Palace would surely be one of the greatest starting points!''
