Curriculum of International Management with Professional Experience

The Bachelor of Science in International Management with Professional Experience (IMPE) covers general business administration and managerial knowledge including human resources, marketing, finance, business informatics, economics and financial management, law and communication, as well as courses specifically focused on international management.

The strong focus on innovative information communication technology and sustainable management strategies is unique for undergraduate university degrees in Central Europe. The values based educational concept with individual mentoring sharpens the students’ critical thinking capacities and enables them to systematically assess the working activities of a manager. Courses on current industry trends industry keep students on top of recent developments.

Students will gain an understanding of the ‘scientific method’ as a universal strategy for problem-solving in management and other areas of decision-making. They will learn how to design, plan and implement empirical projects of their own.

In addition to six semesters of learning this BSc program foresees a seventh semester where students focus on professional experience and master a relevant internship of aprox. 900 hours (4-6 months).

Professional Experience and Internships

Modul University Vienna is convinced that gaining knowledge is not exclusively limited to the class room. Mastering seminars and exams is one important aspect of your career path but experiencing working environments and businesses as well as learning on-the-job is another one. MU is very well connected with international organisations, industry partners and employers that highly appreciate the fact that our study programs include guided internships and that MU encourages students to gather professional experience. 

At the end of this program you will need to complete one compulsory internship related to your studies but in the industry of your choice. Your intership has to cover 900 hours (aprox. 3-4 months) and can be completed in Austria or in any other country. The MU Career Services will support you in finding suitable companies and gives helpful advice on application processes. By reporting summarized outcomes of your internship to the university the completion of your internship will convert to ECTS credits and are therefore mandatory to graduate and finish your program.
