Course Description

This course aims to provide students with critical knowledge and understanding of the financial theories and practices related to the value-relevant functions that chief financial officers fulfill in firms, such as Investment appraisal, Capital Structure Management, Risk Management and Working Capital Management. Students will be exposed to these concepts by using a mix of textbook and interactive learning with occasional case studies for more practical insights.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the course students will have gained a deeper understanding of the role of finance within organizations enabling them to comprehend the key factors chief financial officers have to consider and become familiar with common practices used in financial decision making processes. This course is therefore highly relevant for students interested in a career in management allowing them to elevate their financial judgment abilities to a new level.
