Course Description
The course is focused around the following main topics: 1) the origin of the sustainability problem and its implications; 2) the distinction between economic efficiency, optimality and sustainability; 3) the philosophical foundations of environmental economics; 4) the ethical aspects of sustainability and the moral limits of markets; 5) the economics of managing environmental resources.
