Public Policy Analysis and Evaluation

Course Description
This seminar deals with policy analysis and evaluation in the context of sustainable development. Key concepts in this course include market failure, government failure, and policies for correcting failures.  This course will also address process evaluation, the assessment of feasibility, and impact evaluation. 

 

Learning Objectives
Through course participation, a paper, and a final presentation, students will gain an insight into the rationale of public policy and respective policies for correcting failures.  Additionally, by the end of the course students will have gathered knowledge about process and impact evaluation.
