Course Contents

An optional component of the MSc program is the practical internship. This internship can be completed either domestically or abroad and must granted prior approval by the Internship Coordinator: the internship contract has to be signed by the company, the intern (the student) and MU. Students can participate in an optional internship course (0900 Internship Preparation Workshop) prior to their internship, where all necessary information is explained and document templates are provided. The internship typically consists of min. 340 hours, which generally equals to 2 months full-time work or 4 months part-time work. At the conclusion of the internship, a written report submitted by the student, a confirmation or reference letter, and an appraisal form must be submitted as proof that the internship requirements have been fulfilled. Upon successful completion of the internship, the student will receive 6 ECTS and the grade “PASS”. The number of working hours has to be stated in the contract and the Appraisal Form.
