Mathias Corvinus Collegium Foundation Scholarships

This year, you could be one of the 25 ambitious, highly motivated students who have their studies partially or even fully funded by the Mathias Corvinus Collegium Foundation Scholarship at Modul University Vienna.

The Selection Board will grant a maximum of 15 partial or full scholarships for the Fall 2024 intake and an additional maximum of 10 partial or full scholarships for the Spring 2025 intake.

If you are a national of the countries listed below, then you are eligible to apply for the MCC Scholarship for both Fall 2024 (September) and Spring 2025 (February) intakes: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine. 

For the Spring 2025 intake, we’re adding 2 more countries to the list! From this semester onwards, we are happy to consider applicants from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as well. 

The MCC Scholarship is a merit-based award for students with a proven track record of high academic performance and willingness to go the extra mile. Below, we provide a few criteria based on which you can estimate your chances of being offered a place in this exclusive program.  

Scholarships will be offered based on a holistic assessment, so if you believe that you meet some/most of the criteria below, do not hesitate to apply! 

• You have achieved at least 80% cumulative performance (GPA) throughout your classes in the last 4 completed semesters, OR 

• You are actively involved in social, cultural, or volunteering activities, with evidence of at least 2 such endeavors, OR 

• You have participated in competitions, accelerators, or activities requiring extra time and dedication (e.g., completing 2 types of curriculums simultaneously, participating in an Olympiad, excelling in competitions, creating a business or impact concept in an accelerator, publishing academic research, articles, etc.). 

You will start your journey by going through the regular application process of Modul University. Based on the evaluation of your application and your interview, top candidates will be proposed for consideration for the MCC Scholarship. In a second round, the Selection Board consisting of MCC and Modul University delegated members will decide on awarding scholarships. 


Follow these steps to get a chance at being one of the 25 scholarship recipients: 

  1. Begin by creating an application for your desired program in the Modul University application portal. 
  2. Check the application criteria by clicking on the relevant link: Bachelor application, Master application, PhD application
  3. Create your profile on our application portal and upload all required documents, including any additional certificates to support your eligibility for the scholarship. The documents should be added under the section "Copies of certificates and degrees." 
  4. Before submitting your application, state your interest in the "Additional Information" section under "Additional Request" by typing MCC Scholarship.
  5. Submit your application by paying the 100 euros application fee before June 1, 2024. This deadline applies for both intakes, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Admitted candidates and scholarship recipients will have the application fee refunded (full scholarship recipients)/deducted from their tuition fees (admitted candidates, partial scholarship recipients). 

What will happen after you apply? 

  • Our admissions team will contact you within one week to review your application and schedule an online admissions interview. 
  • After the interview, if you meet the criteria for the MCC Scholarship, your application will be proposed to the Selection Board for consideration. 
  • If selected, you will need to provide a short video (maximum 3 minutes) supporting your application and polish your application documents, followed by a second interview with the Selection Board dedicated solely to the scholarship. 
  • The video should include your presentation and details on how you envision contributing to academic and social life at Modul University Vienna. Your scholarship interview will then focus on your motivation to study in Austria and the impact you wish to have in your chosen field. 

You will be notified of the outcome of your scholarship application within 15 days from the scholarship interview

Upon selection for the full scholarship, kindly note that securing your scholarship requires the submission of a deposit amounting to 1500 euros. This deposit will be reimbursed within one month of your commencement of studies at Modul University. 

Furthermore, should you receive a scholarship and choose not to enroll in the intake for which you applied, the scholarship will not be applicable or transferable to any other intake.
