MSc Student Lukas Stangl reaches Hyatt Student Prize Final in Paris

MODUL University Vienna are pleased to announce that MSc in Management student Lukas Stangl has been chosen as one of 8 finalists to fly to Paris and compete in the prestigious HYATT Student Prize 2018.

The annual competition supports highly promising students to get their careers off to a great start and helps them to foster strong links with the hospitality industry. Lukas, along with his fellow finalists from across Europe, will experience a two day final assessment, taking part in a series of challenges observed by a renowned judging panel.

To reach this stage of the competition Lukas created an innovative and informative application video using only mobile technology. Lukas says of the upcoming challenge:

"It is such an honor to represent MODUL University at the 11th edition of the Hyatt Student Prize in Paris. It is extremely exciting to represent your own university in an international competition and I will give my very best to win it.

I am also very much looking forward to meeting the other finalists, especially because I am the only Austrian student and it is a great opportunity to expand my network globally.

The whole competition is such a huge opportunity for my future career and I am extremely glad that I can bring international recognition to MODUL University as well".

Lukas joined MODUL University Vienna in 2015 to study for a BSc in International Management. Whilst at MU he formed pop-rock band The Oceans with his fellow students. He has since graduated from the bachelor program and is now studying for an MSc in Management.

We wish Lukas all the best and good luck with the competition in Paris!
