Research Project: ERASMUS+ iTAG

Modul University Vienna is part of an ERASMUS+ funded project titled “International Tourism Analytics Group (iTAG): Enhanced Data and Statistical Literacy for Sustainable Tourism Development” under the “KA220-HED Cooperation partnerships in higher education” call.

The project is scheduled for 3 years and is led by the Universita Degli Studi Di Palermo (Italy). Further project partners are the Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), the Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Spain), and CESIE – the European Centre for Studies and Initiatives (Italy).

The main objectives of the project are to increase the statistical literacy in tourism and hospitality and to provide training in the use of tourism analytics for various stakeholders. The project achieves this by identifying tourism statistical literacy needs of practitioners and academics, developing a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), and designing a Tourism Analytics Platform (TAP) integrating data and models for tourism analysis and sustainability. The project further involves organizing workshops and a Boot Camp to further enhance participants’ skills.
