Update regarding COVID-19 Campus building closed

Campus Update on COVID-19

March 16th:

Due to the current situation, the University Board has decided: As announced last week already MU’s courses are solely delivered by remote teaching; no exams, quizzes, defences will take place on campus until April 6, 2020 or until further notice.

MU’s campus building will be closed for students and guests with immediate effect; students are not allowed to enter the campus until April 13, 2020 or until further notice.

Library’s office hours on campus will be suspended from March 17 until April 6, 2020 or until further notice. University offices work remotely and can be reached during regular working hours 09:00 to 17:00 by e-mail or phone.

March 13th:

• Courses will continue via distance learning starting from Monday, March 16, 2020, effective until Monday, April 6, 2020. Courses are planned to continue on campus after Easter break on Tuesday, April 14th.

• Lecturers will communicate directly with you regarding the planned changes in teaching and delivery of their courses. In the course of next week, you will find an updated syllabus outlining the measures taken. Please stay online and check your student e-mail account as well as Moodle for updates. In case exams and quizzes are held on campus, your lecturers will inform you as well in due time.

• Our opening hours for student visits are as follows:

Reception: Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00
Library: Monday to Thursday 10:00-14:00

Academic Office:
Regular opening hours (10:00-12:00) on Monday, March 16th & Tuesday, March 17th
Closed for student visits starting on Wednesday, March 18th

Student Services and Career Center:

Earlier announcement:

As a preventive measure, all teaching activities are switching to a distance-learning format starting March 16, effective until April 6, 2020. To help prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, all teaching activities change to an online delivery mode. All students will receive information by the end of this week. The university management is doing everything in its power to ensure that students will not be hindered in their academic progress. Students will be provided with comprehensive information via email. Regular university operations on campus are otherwise unaffected. Exams and quizzes might still be held on campus as planned, as announced by the lecturers. We are, of course, continuing to monitor all developments related to the Corona virus (COVID-19). And are working closely together with local authorities and are complying with all of their recommendations and guidelines. We will be keeping employees and students up to date by email on a regular basis.
