CSR Certification Council of TourCert meet at MODUL University

Prof. Lund-Durlacher, member of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Certification Council, welcomed the CSR Certification Council of TourCert at MODUL University. The meeting focused on further developing the framework for CSR certification, evaluating experiences, and continuing to develop the CSR certification guidelines which define the standard of the CSR system in tourism and regulate the audit and certification system.

Taking place in March, the annual ITB Berlin is regarded as the leading trade show in the tourism industry. For the past several years they have held a special forum on CSR related tourism, during which a number of tour operators will be awarded with the ‘CSR-certified’ label, the official seal of sustainability and corporate responsibility in tourism.
