Sustainability in focus on Kahlenberg

Sustainability is a core principle of the study programs at MODUL University Vienna, and we annually award the Scholarship of Hope (SoH) to the students with the best ideas to implement sustainable measures here on our Mt. Kahlenberg campus.

Dr. Ludwig Wieninger, the owner of the MODUL University building and a supporter of green living, caught wind of our earth-friendly practices and recently contributed a generous donation to the SoH. On September 30th he stopped by for a meeting with the Sustainability Committee to officially thank him for his generosity, and further inform him about the university’s sustainability activities.

Dr. Wieninger offered his views from a business perspective, and emphasized the necessity of a strong connection between the university and industry. As the trend leans towards heavier investments in sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR), close partnerships will benefit both sides in developing ideas and technologies to implement sustainable measures in a variety of sectors. Furthermore, he supports our endeavors to make MODUL University a flagship for sustainability.
