Ownership and Partners

Modul University Vienna is owned by  Univinvest GmbH, a subsidiary of Mathias Corvinus Collegium - MCC (90%) and the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (10%). Both organizations are eager to jointly further expand the international research and educational profile of Modul University Vienna.

The Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), founded in 1996, is the largest multidisciplinary college of specialists in Hungary, which offers free and useful for the whole society extracurricular educational opportunities for particularly gifted students from the 10th Years of age, students and academics. Over the past 25 years, the MCC has become an interdisciplinary discussion platform in the Hungarian and European scientific landscape, which wants to contribute to the promotion of public dialogue with its diverse events, publications and research. More than 7,000 pupils and students are currently studying in the MCC, there are 14 educational centres in Hungary, nine in Transylvania and Carpathian Ukraine and one in Brussels.

The Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the founder of Modul University Vienna, has a long tradition as a supporter of education. With 150 years of educational history, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the largest operator of private schools in Austria and is counted among the largest organizations of adult education in the country. Each year, more than 70.000 stu­dents are educated by one of the Chambers’ educational institutes.

Committees

As laid down in the University's Constitution, Modul University is governed by three main bodies:
