A new face for a new course of studies

The private MODUL University Vienna expands its range of study programs with immediate effect on the field of Public Governance. As the dean of this trend-setting study program, the university managed to bring in the internationally renowned researcher Harvey Goldstein from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. "Harvey Goldstein is our first cast for the leadership of the new and unique Department for Public Governance", states MODUL University Vienna's President Karl Wöber.
Harvey Goldstein's principal research and teaching interests include regional and local economic development planning and management, especially the role of knowledge-based institutions like technology parks, research centers and universities in the governance and development of regions. He is also an acknowledged expert in regional labor market analysis and economic forecasting, which is manifested by his collaboration with and counsel to several UN- and US-authorities.
Professor Harvey Goldstein possesses a long and successful academic tenure, which is going to be continued now at MODUL University Vienna. For more than 25 years, he has been on the faculty of the Department of City and Regional Planning of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA) where he has taught and conducted research in the field of regional economic development. In the course of the expansion of the private MODUL University Vienna, this renowned and experienced researcher will take up his work in Vienna.
