The MCC Scholarship is a prestigious, merit-based award designed for ambitious new students  with outstanding academic track record and a commitment to going above and beyond. This exclusive scholarship at Modul University Vienna provides a unique opportunity for individuals looking to develop academically, grow personally, and connect with like-minded peers. Application Deadlines

The application deadlines below refer to the deadlines until which applicants shall submit their complete application package to MU (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027)

Country of Citizenship: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan

  • Fall 2026: 15 March 2026
  • Spring 2027: 1 July 2026

Country of Citizenship: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia

  • Fall 2026: 15 March 2026
  • Spring 2027: 1 July 2026

Country of Citizenship: All other eligible countries’ citizens (EU + Ukraine)

  • Fall 2026: 15 March 2026
  • Spring 2027: 1 July 2026
The first scholarship round, closing on March 15 for the Fall 2026 semester, is intended primarily for applicants requiring a student visa to study in Austria. However, applicants who do not require a visa, including those eligible for a 90-day visa-free stay in the Schengen Zone, are also eligible and are encouraged to apply in this round, as scholarship places are allocated on a rolling basis.

Eligibility Criteria

You need to apply for an eligible study program at Modul University and hold citizenship of one of the below listed countries to be considered for the MCC Scholarship: 

Albania | Armenia | Austria | Azerbaijan | Bosnia and Herzegovina | Bulgaria | Croatia | Czech Republic | Estonia

Georgia | Germany | Greece | Hungary | Italy | Kazakhstan | Kyrgyzstan Kosovo | Latvia | Lithuania | Moldova | Montenegro

North Macedonia | Poland | Romania | Serbia | Slovakia | SloveniaTurkey | Ukraine | Uzbekistan

If applicable:

  • Applicants must substantiate their financial need in addition to meeting the academic and personal qualities specified in this call.
  • Financial need is assessed based on self-disclosure and due diligence done as part of the application process.
  • Students may submit official documents (in English translation) to support their claims.
  • For this purpose, they might use any documents describing their and their financiers’ (typically family) current income and wealth status.

Assessment Criteria

Scholarships will be offered based on a holistic assessment, so if you believe that you meet most of the criteria, do not hesitate to apply!

Ideal candidates for the MCC Scholarship shall demonstrate: A strong work ethic, integrity, a high level of maturity, a strong sense of responsibility, good communication & strong interpersonal skills

They are also personally motivated, independent, and proactive. They are eager to learn about the culture and business practices of other countries and look to return home to put their experience to good use.

Involved in social, cultural, or volunteering activities, with evidence of at least 2 such endeavors.

Participated in competitions, accelerators, or activities requiring extra time and dedication.

Demonstrated strong academic performance consistently, achieving outstanding results across all courses.

You will start your journey by going through the regular application and admission process of Modul University. Based on the evaluation of your application and your admission interview, you will first be admitted to Modul University. Top candidates will then be proposed for consideration for the MCC Scholarship. In a subsequent round, you will be requested to submit your application package for the MCC Scholarship and the Selection Board consisting of MCC and Modul University delegated members will decide on awarding the scholarships.  

 

Candidates invited for an interview with the Selection Board will be ranked based on the assessment criteria and may be offered a 25%, 50%, or 75% scholarship to partially cover their tuition fee.

 

Applicants with a strong academic and extracurricular track record, but with limited capacity to finance their studies at MU, will be given preference during the scholarship awarding procedure, ensuring that MU’s study programs are accessible to individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

Application Steps

Review the admission requirements for your chosen program at MU: Admissions

Complete and submit your application for your selected study program: MU Student Portal

  • Before submitting your application, indicate your intention to apply for the MCC Scholarship in the "Additional Information" section under "Additional Request" by typing in "MCC Scholarship"

Our admissions team will contact you within one week of your application submission to review your application and schedule an online admission interview

Candidates admitted to MU will receive an invitation to submit a formal application for the MCC Scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria and demonstrate limited capacity to finance their studies at MU and/or high performance in line with the evaluation criteria

If suggested for consideration to the Selection Board, you will need to provide a short video (maximum 3 minutes) supporting your application and polish your application documents, followed by a second interview with the Selection Board dedicated solely to the scholarship. 

The video should include your presentation and details on how you envision contributing to academic and social life at Modul University Vienna. Your scholarship interview will then focus on your motivation to study in Austria and the impact you wish to have in your chosen field. 

Important

  • You will be notified of the outcome of your scholarship application within 15 days from the scholarship interview
  • Should you receive a scholarship and choose not to enroll in the intake for which you applied, the scholarship will not be applicable or transferable to any subsequent intakes.
  • Other fees (as defined in MU’s Guideline on Fees) are not covered by the MCC Scholarship. In case of partial scholarships, scholarship recipients must always comply with MU’s standard payment terms to maintain their eligibility for the scholarship throughout their studies.
