Foundation Program Business

Do you want to study International Management, Marketing or Business Communication?

During this program, the aim is for you to achieve a level of proficiency in English and mathematics that will meet our bachelor admission regulations. Simultaneously, the course will also boost your confidence through gentle introduction to key topics which develop much further in the bachelor program such as business administration, geography and economics.

Prepare for university within one semester

Program Organization:
Courses will be conducted on the Kahlenberg campus in Vienna and online. You can choose to attend all courses live online in Central European Time (CET) if you can not make it to Vienna. Sessions are organized from Monday to Friday following the academic year.

Application and Admissions:
If you have successfully completed high school and have proof of English proficiency, you are almost there. We need you to submit the following documents in English:

  • Short Motivation Letter
  • English Proficiency Test or Proof of English Language Levels
  • Copy of your Passport
  • CV incl. a portrait picture
  • Unofficial Transcript (your latest record of grades)

 

English Proficiency:
Please send us the result of your English proficiency test. We accept these test scores:

  • IELTS - band score: 5.5
  • TOEFL - Internet-Based Test: 65 points
  • Cambridge English Certificate - Cambridge English: First (FCE): B2, grade C or above.

 

Educational Methods and Approach:
During your semester at MU Vienna you will be able to experience an Austrian campus and learn from an international teaching staff. With attending classes you will listen to lecturers, participate in seminars and work on presentations with class mates. You will learn how to write and speak in English in a professional environment. In order to achieve your certificate at the end of the semester you are expected to pass quizzes and submit short papers in time.

What to do after Foundation Business?

If you master the Foundation Program Business and fulfill additional requirements you are enabled to start the BSc program in International Management or both BBA programs at Modul University Vienna without going through the full Admissions process. Students that want to study at a different school or university may benefit from the knowledge gained at MU, Austria's leading international private university.

Please be advised that an application for a Foundation Program will be considered separate from an Undergraduate. MU can't guarantee a spot in any additional future program upfront. MU encourages you to apply for the highest level program that you would like to undertake.
