The TourMIS Users’ Workshop & International Seminar is designed for professionals from city, regional, national, and international tourism organizations, as well as experts from academia and the hospitality and tourism industry. This annual gathering serves as a platform for learning, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices in tourism data management and strategic marketing.

The TourMIS Users’ Workshop & International Seminar is jointly organised by the European Travel Commission (ETC), City Destinations Alliance (CityDNA), and Modul University Vienna. We look forward to welcoming you for two insightful and inspiring days in Vienna!

Day 1: TourMIS Users’ Workshop

Led by Prof. Karl Wöber, Founder of TourMIS

 

This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the functionalities of the TourMIS system. You'll learn how to enter and analyze tourism statistics, and use powerful benchmarking tools to generate insightful market research reports—crucial for shaping effective tourism marketing strategies.

 

Day 2: International Seminar

Hosted by ETC and CityDNA

 

The second day offers a dynamic seminar focused on contemporary issues in tourism, with a spotlight on: Innovation in Tourism Planning (2019); Sustainable Tourism Indicators (2024) or The Positive Social Impact of Tourism (2025). Expect expert-led presentations, open dialogue, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing—all designed to inspire actionable ideas for the future of tourism.
