You will need to create an account / register to begin the application process. Complete your registration and log in. Once logged in you will see the "Apply Now" button on the right-hand side, click this to begin a new application or click “Review My Application(s)” to continue with an existing application.
The next step will be to start a new application for the program level you wish to apply for:
Foundation Program
Undergraduate (BSc or BBA)
Graduate (MSc or MBA programs)
Doctorate (PhD program)
Once you have selected your desired program level, you will be taken to the next screen to select the specific program you would like to apply for and if necessary, the specialization for that program. Finally, you will need to select the semester
in which you intend to begin your studies at Modul University.
Please note that the 'Fall' semester means September start date and the 'Spring' semester means a February start date. Please also ensure to check our recommended application
deadlines.
Click “Save and Continue” once finished to proceed to the next step.
Your Details
You will now need to add information under the Profile and Contact tabs. Please fill in the information marked with * as this will be required to take your application to the next stage.
Please pay special attention to the question about whether or not you currently hold a residency permit for the EU - this must be answered accurately. Once again, please click “Save and Continue” once finished to proceed to the next step.
Previous Education
This section is essential to us and your higher education journey. Please let us know the last educational institution you attended by selecting from the dropdown list or selecting ‘other’ if your school, college or university is not listed.

Your academic, personal, and work references allow us to gauge how you interact with your peers and teachers.
TOP TIP - We recommend that you reach out to the people you would like to be your referees first and ask them to write you a short recommendation on letter-headed paper, saved as a PDF that you can upload to your application. The recommendation letter should be signed by the recommender.
- For MSc applicants, we require 2 references from academic sources.
- For MBA applicants, we require 1 academic reference and 1 professional/workplace reference, or 2 academic references.
- For PhD applicants, we require at least 2 letters of recommendation from academic sources.
- For Undergraduate applicants, you may choose to submit a reference from a teacher or high school counselor, but it is not required.

Recommendation letter(s)
And for MBA’s we need additionally:
Proof of related work experience provided through letters from previous employers or other proof of employment. Please note the work experience should be in managerial/leading roles, entry management roles are also eligible.

5. Motivational Letter
We ask for a Motivation Letter which is essential to understand what you hope to get out of your chosen program and why you would be a good fit at Modul University Vienna. This is your chance to really stand out so please be specific and share your story.
TOP TIP- Write your letter out in a word document first and check spelling before saving as a PDF. Motivational letters for Bachelor and Master students should be between 1500-4000 characters (1-2 pages).
