How Does the Mentor Matching and Coaching Process Work?
Step 1:
Students get an understanding of how the program is set-up by Professor Eva Aileen Jungwirth-Edelmann
Step 2:
Each student participates in an individual consultation to evaluate their preferred field and overall preferences, including language or format such as online, German, or English.
Step 3:
- Search for mentor (This might take some time, as top managers don't always have availability)
- Individual business coaching (up to 15 hours) This differs depending on what the student asks help with e.g. setting up a network; general skills assessment; preparation for negotiation talks
Step 4:
Mentor match - The mentor and the student start working together; depending on the availability, these sessions go from 5 individual meetings to a small project that the mentee works on; conferences they may take part in and on-site sessions.
Step 5:
Students maintain a monthly work diary documenting their progress and deliver a 10–15 minute presentation of their assignment at MU Vienna in front of peers, faculty, and mentors.
